DVD Production Notes:
The bonus content on the SPIDER BABY: DIRECTOR'S CUT DVD was Drenner and Greene’s first collaboration. Both THE HATCHING OF SPIDER BABY documentary and SPIDER STRAVINSKY: THE CINEMA SOUNDS OF RONALD STEIN were produced under the moniker Uncle Ned Productions. This was a joint venture between Drenner and director Jack Hill, who share the copyrighted work. Also included on the DVD is the brief MERRYE HOUSE REVISITED documentary, which features Hill and Drenner returning to the house used in the film, which still stands to this day.
Useless Movie Trivia!
The California-gothic house featured prominently in SPIDER BABY stands less than 5 miles from another iconic horror movie abode: Michael Meyers' childhood house from John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN!
